Introduction

This is an army fighter squadron equipped with the IJA's main fighter, the Army Type 1 Fighter "Hayabusa".
It is also called as the Katou's Hayabusa Squadron.
Led and trained by the famous squadron leader Katou and after various outstanding performances since the beginning of the war, it continued to fight hard in the Southern Operations and the Burmese region despite the unfavorable state of the war. It continued to use the Hayabusa until the end.

Mechanics

Land-Based Fighters/Interceptors    are LBAS exclusive fighters, that are used to either:

  • Provide Sortie Fighter-Power, where the "fighter Power"  , "interception"  , and "combat radius"   stats are the most important,
  • Intercept enemy bombers, where the "fighter Power"  , "interception"  , and especially the "anti-bomber"   stats are the most important.

Notes

Not to be confused with other aircraft of this family (see here).
