Shimakaze may come across as a super evasive destroyer, but may also possess from great underlining potential due to her own stats. Much like [[Yukikaze]], Shimakaze has relatively high stats as a destroyer at Kai. Her most noted stats are her evasion and Torpedo stats. While Shimakaze is limited on what she can do in her general stats once she's maxed, if one was to be able to farm a bunch of [[Maruyu]]s to modify and improve her luck to nearly the same level as [[Yukikaze]]'s luck it can be quite possible to make Shimakaze be able to deliver just as much if not more damage than Yukikaze can with Torpedo Cut-ins.

Her evasion and armor may allow her more survivability compared to other destroyers.  Shimakaze's torpedo stat is difficult to utilize efficiently, but if one can acquire a bunch of [[Maruyu]]s to improve her luck via [[modernization]] to near the same level as [[Yukikaze]]'s luck it can be possible to make Shimakaze be able to deliver just as much if not more damage than Yukikaze can with Torpedo Cut-ins. Keep in mind though that this task is bound to take time to complete since her luck is entirely average.
