Trivia
General Information
- She is named after Coxswain Samuel B. Roberts.
- She was launched on the 20th January 1944.
- Sunk during the Battle off Samar, 25 October 1944.
- On 24 June 2022, it was announced the wreck of Samuel B. Roberts was located at a depth of 6,985 meters (22,621 feet), making it the deepest shipwreck ever found. She is upright but heavily damaged, both from the battle and from impact with the sea floor.

- She was added on the 23rd April 2018 for the 5th anniversary of the game.
- she was the reward of an anniversary quest.
Misc
- In reality, Samuel B. Roberts was designated a destroyer escort (DE) by the USN. In KanColle she has been classified as a destroyer (DD), although she still describes herself as a destroyer escort.
- On her very first day in service, Samuel B. Roberts struck a whale off the coast of Maine, hence her whale.
- The signal flags on her hair ribbon stand for her radio call sign, NTIK.
- Her star hair pin is a Battle Star, awarded for her service at Samar.
- The medal is a Navy Cross, earned by both her namesake at Guadalcanal (for distracting Japanese gunners so a company of Marines could be evacuated) and her captain at Samar, Robert W. Copeland.
