Prototype 41cm Triple Gun Mount

Introduction

呉海軍工廠砲熕部で試作された純国産戦艦主砲の三連装砲です。
16インチを僅かに上回る、この41cm砲は「大和」型の46cm砲が登場するまで世界最大の戦艦砲でした。これを搭載した長門型戦艦は、当時世界列強の「ビッグ７」水準を遥かに超えた高火力と高命中精度を実現します。

A prototype triple gun mount for battleships that was domestically produced by the Kure Naval Arsenal Artillery Division. A little larger than 16 inches, the 41cm cannon was the largest battleship cannon in the world until the 46cm cannons of the Yamato-class. Equipped on the Nagato-class battleships, they had higher firepower and accuracy than the rest of the 'Big 7' at the time.
