Prototype 41cm Triple Gun Mount

Introduction

呉海軍工廠砲熕部で試作された純国産戦艦主砲の三連装砲です。
16インチを僅かに上回る、この41cm砲は「大和」型の46cm砲が登場するまで世界最大の戦艦砲でした。
これを搭載した長門型戦艦は、当時世界列強の「ビッグ７」水準を遥かに超えた高火力と高命中精度を実現します。

A triple-mounted domestic battleship main gun prototyped by Kure Naval Arsenal's Artillery Division.
At a little over 16 inches (40.6cm), this 41cm gun was the largest battleship gun in the world until the introduction of the Yamato-class' 46cm guns.
When equipped on the Nagato-class battleships, they would have had firepower and accuracy far exceeding that of any Big 7 from the other great powers.
