Analysis

Priority: Medium

A four slot light cruiser, similar to Gotland, who brings more flexibility than average to the fleet.

For example, she can turns her into an hard-hitting attacker against enemy installations when fitted with two WG42 (Wurfgerät 42).

However, do note that her ASW stat is very low, so not even the fourth slot makes her able to perform OASW before marriage.

Likewise, a low Torpedo stats makes her perform poorly in night battles.

No further remodels have been implemented for her yet (as of January 2020).

Trivia

She is named after the Ōyodo River.
Initially she was the Mission advisor & Quest-musume NPC.
Summer 2014 Event, E-2 clear reward
Intended as a command vessel for submarine operations - a scouting cruiser
- As such, she traded torpedoes for additional floatplanes and is the only IJN cruiser to lack a torpedo armament
Never became a scouting cruiser & was converted to a command ship due to the war's progression & the E15K1 Shiun floatplane's failure.
The flagship of the Combined Fleet during 1944, as well as the flagship of Vice Admiral Ozawa after Zuikaku sunk during the Battle of Cape Engaño.
Capsized during the Bombing of Kure on July 28th, 1945.
