2nd of the Ise-class battleships, Hyuuga.
Ah yes, I became an aviation battleship together with Ise you know. That's originally because an accident happened on my 5th turret. I'm fighting till I am sunk at Kure. |
In a maneuver on 5/5/1942, the 5th turret of Hyuuga exploded and required repairs. And at almost the same time (6/5~6/1942), the Imperial Japanese Navy was defeated in Battle of Midway and lost 4 regular aircraft carriers. Under this situation, a flight deck was put on Hyuuga instead of being repaired to her original state in order to compensate for the loss of aviation force. | |

Trivia
- Named after an old province of Japan, Hyuuga. It literally means "Towards the Sun".
- Run aground in shallow waters at 27 July 1945. Raised and scrapped 2 July 1946-4 July 1947
- In the official KanColle 4-koma manga 'Fubuki Ganbarimasu!' (Go for it, Fubuki!) Hyuuga has a fairly serious personality and is constantly chasing after her elder sister, Ise, who is always trying to find ways to ignore her duties so she can go and play.
