She has accuracy bonuses and penalties when equipped with certain large guns. Please see Gun Fit Bonuses for mode details.

Analysis

Fusou Kai

Priority: High

Upon remodel, she turns into an aviation battleship (BBV), which is to a standard battleship what a CAV is to a CA, and thus able to embark seaplane bombers and, much more importantly, fighters.

This makes her obviously valuable to contest control of the air: however, her slot distribution makes her poorly suited for bombing.

Just like aviation cruisers, she can attack enemy submarines with proper equipment, but she is generally a very poor choice for this role.

However, she has lower firepower than her "non-aviation" counterparts, and is in fact on the level of heavy cruisers.

Fusou Kai Ni

Priority: Medium-Low

This second remodel improves her Firepower significantly, bringing it on par with a Kongou-class' second remodel.

Furthermore, while the number of seaplanes she can't load doesn't increase, her slot distribution is now much better and allows her to fill the seaplane bombing role decently.

Keep in mind that this remodel requires a Blueprint.

Trivia

She takes her name from an ancient name for Japan.
- 扶桑 (fusou) sounds similar to 不幸 (fukou) or 'misfortune', & 不相応 (fusouou) or 'misplaced' or 'unsuitable'.
Japan's first Super-Dreadnought and the first to be completely indigenous as opposed to the, at the time, British-designed Kongou-class battlecruisers.
Her Aviation Battleship remodel is based off a plan for the Fusou-class after the carrier losses at the Battle of Midway. However, it was executed on the Ise-class instead.
Sunk, by possibly USS Melvin, during night battle in the Battle of Surigao Strait, October 25th, 1944.
- There is a conflict in the accounts of her sinking:
  1. Torpedoes caused progressive flooding, upending and capsizing her within forty minutes.
  2. Torpedoes struck a magazine, causing a spectacular explosion and splitting in two with each half remaining afloat and burning for an hour. This seems to be increasingly discounted.
