The "Shiden" is a short-ranged fighter developed from the Kyoufuu seaplane fighter.<br>
The configuration of the wings was shifted from mid-fuselage to the bottom. Upgrades were made to the automatic combat flaps, armour and various systems.<br>
This is an early model of the "Shiden Kai" with abilities that surpassed the Type Zero fighter. It formed the cornerstone of the IJN's homeland air defenses.
