The "Reppuu" was a state-of-the-art carrier borne fighter developed as the successor to the high-performance "Zero". This two-seater "Reppuu Kai Ni" is a further improved version of the Reppuu that uses the high-altitude interceptor "Reppuu Kai" as a base. The oblique mounted guns have been removed and it's effectiveness in dogfighting and anti-bomber roles have been increased.  This is an elite what-if, night fighter "Reppuu Kai Ni" squadron that has been enhanced with a plane-based radar and is crewed by skilled pairs from the 1st Carrier Division.
