I like this idea, and the naming scheme you have below for Sole Dex Number is good, but think that it should be "A B C" for "Base Kai Kai-Ni". A stripped number could cause issues because you have to explain that single-ships get nothing but if they add an new model, then you need to move it to A and make the kai ni the no-name. ::So, letter suffixes for ships like Littorio and the like? No harm is done by adding something that simple and easy to type, but I left it out of Kai Ni because these always involve a dex number change, and any remodels past then (like with [[Bismarck]]) undergo further number changes. I'll look back over the oddities like Chitose-Class and Bismarck (They may be the only 4+ remodels?) and see if there are additional changes needed to accomodate them. At the moment, I equally favor your suggestion and my initial one, so another party "voting" would be helpful.
