These Type 3 Fighter “Hien”’s are piloted by the 244th Air Combat Group, part of the Army’s fighter forces who bravely took part in the defenses of the capital city while deployed Chofu, Tokyo.
For the final stage of combat, these “Hien’s” have had their engines upgraded to a much more reliable liquid cooled variant used by the “Type 5 Fighter” (Ki-100).
