→Does slot positioning of the equipment matter?
For '''Aviation cruisers '''(CAV), they '''don't '''lose max firepower after remodel unlike BBV. They however will start with very low firepower stats after remodel. Their max firepower are of the average heavy cruisers.

In day battle, equipment slot position doesn't matter for all non-aircraft carriers warships, in night battle the top most weapon is used to attack if your ship fails to trigger a special attack (Double Attack or Cut-in Attack, check the [[Combat|combat mechanics]] page for more info), this can change what type of attack your warship performs between a torpedo attack or a main gun attack.

However, it's a different case for warships that can equip aircraft (fighters, recon planes, seaplanes, etc.), because each slot has a different aircraft-carrying capacity (see [[#What_does_the_number_beside_my_plane_stand_for.3F|below]]). Keep that in mind when equipping planes.
