*During the Battle of the Philippine Sea, Shigure was the escort ship for Light Carrier [[Ryuuhou]]. Shigure succesfully evaded the bomb going for her, shot down the TBF-Avenger trying to torpedo [[Ryuuhou]], and evaded torpedoes aimed at her at close range. This showed how skilled Shigure's crewman were.
