* The original Ryuujou might have been shown in the animated movie "The Wind Rises". That would be the aircraft carrier that Horikoshi Jiro and his supervisor Kurokawa visited to see for themselves how carrier-based planes were operated. A Nagato-class battleship, with its distinctive serpentine funnel, was also seen in the movie, albeit briefly.
