Mogami is often looked upon as a good early ship to collect for most admirals as she can be a resourceful member to the team. Among all things, she's one of the few ships that can be modified to a Kai level very early (Level 10) allowing her to become a powerful asset for admirals who are just starting to play.

In addition to this, Mogami in the long term like most of the Mogami-class members can be considered an important component in the battlefield since Aviation Cruisers are considered to be an important component to your fleet. Mogami especially shines in the fact that out of all the aviation cruisers currently available in game, she is also capable of holding the most seaplanes/Seaplane bombers (13 on her 4th slot) making her resourceful for more tactical operations where Carriers might be restricted such as [[Transport Operation]]s in events map.

In addition to this, Mogami in the long term like most of the Mogami-class members can be considered an important component in the battlefield since Aviation Cruisers are considered to be an important component to your fleet.
