As the author of this survey (wow, the reply with answer number „Michishio #1“ is me, how surprising) I have both the benefit of <span style="color:#009999">'''wiki formatting'''</span> and all the evaluated data at hand to make my commentary seem more important than it is. But nothing here was really surprising. Lowest clear rate matches the official data. General EO dissatisfaction matches the discourse on social media. The incredible cost of the event matches everyones playing experience. Lexington being the least popular new girl matches the JP polls too. A lot has been written about the event design in the following replies, so there isn’t much for me to say about that. You can see my final score on to the left anyways.
After a some consideration I have come to the following conclusion: I am playing a game that represents the vision of probably less people than I have digits on a hand. With all its incredible highs and all its very avoidable lows, I am still here playing it. After all, there is more to see and explore. New remodels like Kirishima K2C, and the upcoming pumpkin and saury events. And hey, there is that new Shinden for the land base too. Wonder where I will get that. This is more or less the same I have written in a reddit comment about 4 years ago after the infamous Take event. which also went from an easy european MO to hell in the pacific. History doesn’t repeat itself, but it may rhyme in certain places. How many more verses I am there to listen to or when the opera ends is all but written in the stars.

Operation Menace which was the first stage of the event was a well put together event experience. Good drops all-around, good rewards and the maps were somewhat enjoyable to get trough. New ships were cute and fairly easy to farm, excluding drops from E4 and E5.

The MO maps were true hell. I don't even know why I bothered to do E5 on Hard. Looking back now, I was really dumb. The rewards were utter trash, and there was no sense of accomplishment.
This was the first time I realized that MO maps are truly P2W, and there is no other way to complete them without losing your sanity due to pre-boss taiha bs. Smokes are too inconsistent, and sometimes it feels like they don't work at all, even at level 3. Many, if not most, players just used damecons on all their ships, which in turn made the maps easy and made the damage almost irrelevant. I managed to avoid the use of damecons and didn’t refresh on any items, but still felt cheated.
The worst part is that this might just be the direction all future events will take. I knew that the introduction of smokes was a sign that new problems were coming.
PS: Mogador is cute.

The main problem is that 3.5 months wasn't enough time for the devs to finish making the event (as indicated by the lack of testing for E5P5 unlock). MO was fun, even if it was on the easier side. E5 was fine for a final map, for P5, pre-boss was hellish, but the boss itself wasn't hard to clear (with FF). E4P3 on the other hand, had not only difficult pre-boss, but also an extremely difficult boss node (even with FF), which resulted in a very long and expensive chipping phase and low clear % LD with damegami and drums. This wasn't a challenge, just plain torture. Oh, and the event didn't just end here, you still had to clear E5 with high resource costs.

Had to reduce the difficulty to Casual for the EOs due to irl commitments, but even then they weren't easy. I honestly feel the EOs on Casual were harder than some Hard maps on previous events.
Long routes and hard pre-boss nodes means my fully decked out fleet can get a random taiha even on Casual. E-5 also was extremely long and ate up a surprisingly large number of resources. I can see how the harder difficulties might have been a nightmare for players.
