Sandbox Rules

This sandbox is to be used to construct an event guide for the above mentioned event map. These guides are to all of the following requirements:

  • List of branching unlocking requirements (If there are multiple requirements, compositions for each path along with the below requirements will be needed to discuss the unlocking requirements in question)
  • A list of working compositions that work: (These must have possible alternatives for players who may or may not have all ships needed for a specific path)
  • The Path said composition will take (To explain what path the composition will take)
  • A summary or description of what kind of obstacles a composition will face.
  • A description of the boss node, what it consists and a descriptive guide on what the player should consider for a course of action to successfully win the battle.
  • (Optional) Tips to farm to take path to collect certain ships (This will also require a composition, path, and possible description.

Editors are to construct their own version of their guide and complete them in a timely fashion.

No other editors are to allowed to edit over other editors' work without the full consent of the editor and his approval to do so.

Several versions will be constructed through this page and will be reviewed and approved by the staff/ collaboration committee before being moved for the Summer 2020 Event which it'll be reviewed and updated once more before it can be released.

Overall there will be 3 versions of the guide that will be constructed which will include:

  • Preliminary Guide
  • Polished Guide
  • Finalized Guide

With each approval of each version of the guide, the said guide will be updated to the main page, and construction of the next version will begin.

All guides outside of the approved version will be removed and work will begin from the approved version to make it better for the next version until the finalized version is made.

Projected deadline for Initial guide: November 27th-30th, 12:01 JST (May get extended by 1 day if massive delays occur)

Map Overview

  • There are a total of 3 main phases.
  • 2 Ship locking tags will be use and they are the following:

 Yokosuka Defense Force Combined Fleet

Phase 1: Deplete the TP Bar (Transport Phase)

This phase uses the following tag:

 [Grey Tag]Yokosuka Defense Force

  • The LBAS range needed to get to the boss is 3
  • Single Fleet will be utilized throughout this phase
  • The composition you are bringing against the enemy formation will make it very difficult to S rank the boss. A ranking of the boss and retreat for TP are highly recommended.
  • Bring AA and at least 1 ship with ASW loadouts to deal with the submarine at C
  • The boss is located at I

  • Single Fleet: 1 CL, 4 DD, 1 XX (Where XX can be CV, CVL, or AV)
  • Route: A B C H I

  • Single Fleet: 1 CL, 1-2 CLT, 0-1 AV, 3 DD
  • Route: A B C H I
  • Note: This composition is stronger and can hit the boss harder. But at the cost of lower TP drain per run.

Phase 2: Defeat Aircraft Carrier Hime Kai at R

This phase will use the following tag:

  • This phase uses a CTF Combined Fleet
  • The boss is located at R
  • Bring a strong AACI to deal with the air raid node and survive at the boss
  • Note: Farm node P first before clearing the gauge as once the HP gauge is cleared, routing to P will change once R1 & R2 is open.
  • Bring CV that can carry a high amount of planes or 5 slots CV like Kaga/Akagi K2.
  • The LBAS range to the boss is 7
  • AS/AP is 494/220 for Hard at R

  • CTF: 2 BBB, 2 CV(B), 0-1 CA(V), 0-1 CVL, 0-1 CL, 0-1 DD + 1 CL, 2 CLT, 1 CAV, 2 DD
  • Route: J B E L M N P R
  • Naga/Mutsu or Nelson touch is highly recommended for BB within this fleet.

  • CTF: 4 CV(B), 1 CA(V), 0-1 CL, 0-1 DD + 1 CL, 2 CLT, 1 CAV, 2 DD
  • Route: J B E L M N P R
  • Heavy carrier fleet make uses of the strong opening strike capabilities.
  • Make sure AS+ is achieved with planes and LBAS combinations.
    • AS+ = 987 and 1041 for LD on Hard

Phase 2.5: Unlock Submarine Hime at Z

This phase will use the following tag:

  • There is only 1 requirement that needed to do to unlock {MapRoute|Z|red}}
    • S rank R2 Hard only?
  • Composition: Use the same fleet from Phase 2
  • Route: J B E L M N R1 R2
  • R1 contains Submarine Hime. Have 1 ASW LBAS to deal with the node and help pass through the node.

Phase 3: Defeat Submarine Shork Oni at Z

This phase uses the following tag:

 [Grey Tag]Yokosuka Defense Force

  • This phase will utilize a Striking Force Fleet
  • The LBAS range to the boss is 4
  • The boss is a submarine. Uses ASW LBAS and OASW is required to kill the boss effectively.
  • Having 1 BBV allows for second shelling to help kill the boss a lot easier and BBV can also shell the boss
  • It is highly recommended to use Vanguard formation at X as the node can prove to be very difficult to pass to get to the boss.
  • Focus on trying to kill the boss and ignore all the surface enemies present at the node.
  • Have 1 ship at least can AACI to deal with the air raid node and X on the way to the boss.
  • Striking Force Fleet: 1 BBV, 2 CL, 0-4 DD, 0-4 DE
    • It is entirely possible to use 7 DE fleet as long as the LOS requirement is met and the fleet can reach the boss.
