Auxiliary ships primarily support combat ships or naval operations. They have very limited combat capability, which is mainly for self defense.
Roles of auxiliary ships
- Transport
- Amphibious Assault Ships (LHA) can only carry certain guns and carrier-based aircraft. Akitsu maru is currently the only amphibious assault ship in the game. Historically, Akitsu maru's remodel widened the flight deck, increasing the ship's aircraft carrying capacity.
- Repair
- Repair ships (AR) can repair other ships in the same fleet. Akashi is the only Repair Ship.
- For more info regarding her repair, see Anchorage Repair (泊地修理) .
- Replenishment
- Taigei is currently the only submarine tender (AS).
- She does not yet have any special abilities, but she is required for expedition 39.
- Taigei has the lowest ammo consumption among all carriers.
- Akitsu maru unremodelled version has aircraft capacity 0.
- Akitsu maru comes with a Daihatsu-class Landing Craft as her default equipment.
- Akitsu maru Kai comes with an uncraftable Type 3 Spotter/Liaison (ASW) and Ka-type Observation Autogyro.
- Both Akashi and her remodelled version come with an uncraftable Ship Repair Facility as her default equipment.
- Akashi has battleship-tier remodel cost, repair cost and repair time.
- Green : Outstanding
- Yellow : Above average
- Since the Luck Stat is difficult to modernize, it is listed as Base(Max).
