In-Game Tips

The Kamikaze class ships are very old destroyers (older than the Mutsuki and Fubuki class). And their age is reflected in their stats; even when upgraded they are still below average compared to most remodeled destroyers. Thus they tend to perform very poorly in most combat situations, and all of them require extensive training to reach their remodel levels. Their only decent stat is their relatively high luck. While this makes them potential candidates to utilize torpedo cut-ins, the damage they perform with torpedo cut-ins will still be be relatively low compared to other destroyers due to their low stats.

All of the Kamikaze-class destroyers have very low fuel and ammo consumption, making them all ideal for use in expeditions.

Kamikaze Kai's ASW stats also make her just good enough to perform pre-emptive ASW against enemy submarines once she reaches level 99, with a Type 4 Sonar, a Type 3 Sonar and a Type 3 Depth Charge.

Trivia

From her initial release, Kamikaze had a bug that caused her stats to increase higher than originally intended. This bug was however fixed on May 15th, 2016.
