Upon gaining the medals to obtain a [[blueprint]], Taigei can be turned into Ryuuhou while allows her to now become a carrier. Ryuuhou however doesn't end up gaining anything useful till she reaches Kai which you earn a [[Type 97 Torpedo Bomber (931 Air Group)]] which is considered to be useful for Anti-Submarine Operations since it has a rather decent ASW stat for a torpedo bomber.

Outside of these things, Ryuuhou is still however limited as her plane capacity is small and placed in a way that limits her useage and make her a difficult to use for various operations. However, like [[Houshou]] she is cheap and inexpensive to run. Making Ryuuhou another good carrier to train planes on early maps and possibly can be used for early event maps.
