The Ki-84 Type 4 Fighter Hayate is a masterwork fighter developed and mass produced for the IJA.<br>
It was deployed as the core of the IJA's air force and fought in Operation Sho-go 1.<br>
A squadron equipped with the Type 4 fighters fought to secure temporary air superiority in Leyte on the Philippine front despite the deteriorating situation.
